On October 14, 2024, it is recognized as Indigenous People's Day. This holiday is observed annually on the second Monday in October in the United States. Indigenous People's Day is a time to celebrate and honor Native American peoples, as well as to commemorate their histories and cultures. It serves as a reminder of the rich and diverse heritage of Indigenous communities and the importance of acknowledging and respecting their contributions to society.
In observance of the importance of educational leadership at the school, school district, and county levels, the second full week in the month of October of each year is designated as "Week of the School Administrator". Celebrate the week with public recognition of the valuable contribution that school administrators make to successful student achievement.
